2020 Bullet Journal Themes

Although I have not been bullet journaling for years (I started a bullet journal on January 2020), I enjoy sharing my monthly themes on social media, inspiring others to start a bullet journal, and of course writing posts likes these where I can help make your bujo experience a little easier. 10 Unique Bullet Journal Theme Ideas

1. BOOKS FOR DAYS

The first theme I want to share with you is the theme I used for March: books. Although I’m not a huge book reader (I wish I was), I love the idea of learning and expanding your knowledge. So, I thought it would be fun to play around with books and create a minimalist theme!

COLORS

For this particular theme, I decided to stick to only two minimal colors: brown and teal. I had a lot of teal planner stickers at the time, so I had to take advantage of them and use them on my spreads! Don’t you just love when your planner stickers make your life easier? 🙂

DRAWINGS

Since bullet journaling can be a little time-consuming, I try to keep my drawings very simple! In this case I only drew:

  • Books
  • Plants
  • Book shelves

The rest of the “drawings’ you see in the spreads were planner stickers!

UNIQUE PAGES INCLUDED

  • Mood tracker page
  • Wish-list page
  • Brainstorm page
  • Daily gratitude page
  • Playlist, devotionals, stats, and bucket list page

2. SWEET BAMBI & CACTUSES

Since I absolutely love Disney’s character Bambi and deers, I just had to create a Bambi-inspired theme for the month of April. I don’t know if it’s Bambi’s cuteness or what, but this is by far my absolute favorite theme in 2020. I am obsessed with how the spreads came out! Also, every-time that I come up with a theme idea, I like to browse through Pinterest for some inspiration. However, when I was looking for Bambi bullet journal spreads, I didn’t find ANY. So, I like to think that I have created the first ever Bambi bullet journal theme, hehe! How special is that, right?

COLORS:

For this minimal yet super cute theme, I decided to work with neutral colors. I used browns, olive green, and a neutral coral color!

DRAWINGS:

  • Bambi
  • Cactuses

QUOTES USED:

3. PASTELS, PEACHES & FLOWERS

There are many times that I come up with a theme based on planner stickers that I have! In this occasion, I found myself with a whole bunch of “peaches” stickers, so I thought it would be fun to create a theme that combines peaches, flowers, and pastel colors.

COLORS

For this theme I have chosen to play around with different shades of oranges and greens!

DRAWINGS

  • Peaches
  • Flowers

QUOTES USED

  • “What if meant for you won’t pass you by.”

6. MINIMALIST BLOGING

For the month of August I decided to create a theme inspired by one of the things I am most passionate about in life, blogging. Although this is a very rare theme (boy was it hard to create), I had a lot of fun implementing the world of blogging and social media on to these spreads.

Since I wanted to keep this theme very minimal (do you see the pattern here?) I only used orange and gray for this theme!

7. PURPLE X DONUTS

Another obsession of mine: donuts. If I could, I would have a donut every single day……a girl can wish, right? While eating a donut every single day may not be a smart decision, creating a donut bullet journal theme is! In September, I decided to not only create a donut-inspired theme, but to also make the entire theme purple. So below, you’ll see what happens when you combine donuts and purple.

COLORS:

The colors I used this month are purple, mauve, and beige!

DRAWINGS:

  • Donuts

QUOTES USED:

  • “Never give up.”
  • “Today is a new day.”

8. COFFEE & ACORNS

Even though I personally hate drinking coffee, I thought it would be interesting to create an aesthetic coffee theme. In honor of cozy days, autumn colors, and the cheer of fall, I created a theme that screams coziness and makes you want to drink a cup of coffee (or chocolate, if you’re like me!)

This month I went with very bold brown, orange, and gray colors.
