1. STAY HYDRATED BY DRINKING ENOUGH WATER EVERYDAY.
Drinking water is not only essential for your physical health, but it’s also beneficial for your mental health. Therefore, it’s super important that you drink water daily (not just once every blue moon!)
*TIP: Get yourself two different water bottles (one for the first half of the day + another one for the second half). Fill up your water bottles first thing in the morning + don’t go to bed until you have finished both! This will help you drink more water without the hassle of filling up a glass of water every few hours.
2. BREATHE FRESH AIR EVERY MORNING.
You can either open up a window or step outside for a few minutes.
Trust me, there’s nothing more soothing for your mind then some morning air!
3. GET YOUR STEPS IN.
This could mean anything from going on a 20-30 minute walk, to going for a short run, or using a treadmill for 30 minutes! And if you’re in the mood for a walking challenge, check out my fun walking challenge for beginners, right here!
My favorite way of getting my steps in is by going for a walk around my house for about one hour. I love taking this time to mediate on life, my goals, and blog (obviously), listen to music, and to enjoy nature!
4. EXERCISE AT HOME OR AT THE GYM.
One of the best ways to invest in yourself + your body is by exercising!
Whether you prefer to exercise at home or at the gym, it’s important that you make some time to give your body a good sweat, at least 4 times a week. Seriously, even if you could only devote 30 minutes 4x a week, that’s an investment that your body will NOT regret!

And if exercise is not really your thing (no matter how much you’ve tried), try a dance workout! Dance workouts help you burn calories quicker + keep your body active. Even though I absolutely love exercising, I like mixing up my workouts from time to time by doing dance workouts!

6. DON’T SKIP BREAKFAST.
Invest in yourself every morning by treating your body to a good breakfast!

7. ADD MORE FRUITS + GREENS TO YOUR DIET.
Have you heard of the saying, “you are what you eat” before?
Well, it’s true! It’s impossible to be healthy if you only eat unhealthy foods! Therefore, it’s important to invest in yourself by adding healthier foods to your diet. Now, I’m not telling you to go vegan or completely change your diet. All I’m suggesting is to add more healthy foods to your life.
You can easily do this by eating more fruit and vegetables. So, instead of munching on chips, try to munch on some apples with almond butter. Or, instead of getting a pizza, have a salad! Remember, health is wealth!
8. TAKE YOUR VITAMINS.
Regardless of how healthy you eat, it doesn’t hurt to add more nutrients to your body! Vitamins help your body function the way it should by providing nutrients that you don’t always find in your meals.
Some vitamins I like to take daily:

9. DO OIL PULLING EVERY MORNING.
You might have heard of oil pulling before, but if you haven’t it’s simply the act of swishing a tablespoon of oil in your mouth for about 20 minutes. The purpose of oil pulling is to improve your oral hygiene (so, better breath, remove bacteria, whiten your teeth, reduce gum inflammation, etc)!
Oil pulling is a great way to invest in your oral hygiene because it only takes about 15-20 minutes and it only requires one ingredient that we all already have at home: oil!
You can use olive oil, coconut oil, or sesame oil to do oil pulling! Personally, I like using olive oil.

10. WASH YOUR FACE 2X A DAY.
I know this one seems pretty obvious, but it’s too important not to add to this list!
Washing your face is not only great for your skin, but it’s a very simple way to pamper yourself and wake yourself up in the mornings, haha.
Because I sleep late most nights (I need to work on this asap!), wake up at 6am every morning, and don’t drink any caffeine, I need all the extra help I can get to wake up. So, the first thing I like to do every morning is wash my face with coooooold water. Talk about a good wake up call, right? 😉
The second time I like washing my face during the day is at night. Even though I don’t really wear make up (just a hint of eyeliner, moisturizer, lipstick, and blush), I still like to wash my face with warm water to remove impurities and have a fresh face to add any oils or nighttime creams on before I go to bed!

11. PRAY TO GOD.
Invest in your soul by praying to God. Aside from having someone to express your entire heart to, praying to God is so beneficial for your spiritual life. Prayer strengthens your faith, gives you hope, and provides your heart with comfort (that can’t be found anywhere else!)
If you’ve never prayed before, please don’t feel intimidated by prayer. Prayer is simply a personal conversation between YOU and GOD. So when I say pray to God, I really mean talk to God!
You can talk to God throughout the day or have a designated “prayer time” where you can talk to him everyday. I personally prefer praying in the morning, but whatever time works best for you is perfect!
God is available and ready to hear you talk 24/7. You choose the date and time, and he’ll be there.
12. CREATE A PLAYLIST FOR YOUR SOUL.
Take a moment to research soulful songs and curate an exclusive playlist for your soul.
This playlist will come in handy on those days where you are feeling down, lacking motivation, or simply need to enlighten your soul with good music! 13. MEDITATE ON A BIBLE VERSE DAILY.
Download the Bible app, create an account (this takes less than 5 minutes), and choose a Bible translation you like + download it to the app (that way you can read offline)!
I like reading in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, so these are the translations I downloaded:
- NJKV – English version
- ESV – English version
- RV1960 – Spanish version
- NTLH – Portuguese version
- BLP – Portuguese version
One of my favorite features of the Bible app is that regardless of the language or translation you choose, it generates a daily “bible verse of the day” for you every single day!
This daily bible verses feature comes in handy if you want to quickly read a verse on your way to work (or at work, it’s okay I won’t tell), or don’t have time to read the Bible but still want to mediate on a portion of scripture during the day!
14. REPEAT POWERFUL AFFIRMATIONS DAILY.
One of the best ways to boost your confidence and create a positive tone for the day is by repeating + believing in powerful affirmations!
Some affirmations I like to repeat are:
- I choose to be happy and I deserve to have happiness in my life.
- Everyday I’m closer to becoming the very best version of myself.
- God makes me strong.
- God has great plans for me.
- I am strong and courageous.

15. READ THE BIBLE.
Remember how I said earlier that we talk to God through prayer?
Well, God talks through us through his Word – the Bible. We speak to him when we pray and he speaks to us when we read the Bible. Which is why, prayer and reading scripture go together! If you do one, you have to do the other in order to complete your conversation with God. So, one of the best ways to invest in your soul is by reading the Bible. Even, if it’s just for a few minutes, take a moment of your day to open up the Bible and discover what God wants to speak to your heart.

16. STUDY THE BIBLE PROFOUNDLY.

17. PRACTICE JOURNALING.
Journaling is a great way to release emotions, feelings, and thoughts! Not only will you feel alleviated after dumping your thoughts on to paper, but you’ll also have a record of how you were feeling + what you did everyday!

18. STRETCH + RELAX YOUR BODY.
Take a few minutes everyday to stretch your muscles!
This is a great way to increase flexibility, relax your mind, and keep your body active.
19. DECLUTTER AWAY.
Get rid of the clutter in your life. And I know we all have something we can declutter!
Perhaps you have a closet full of clothes that you don’t wear or like? Or you have an insane amount of expired items that you don’t use? Well, it’s time to detach yourself from things that don’t produce any joy in your life and take up space by getting rid of them!
20. ENJOY A MOMENT OF SOLITUDE.
Spend some time with yourself, even if it’s only 10 minutes!
You don’t have to do anything fancy! Just take a moment to enjoy your own company.

21. PICK UP A HOBBY THAT GIVES YOU JOY.
Find a hobby that gives you joy and devote some time to practice this hobby!

22. LEARN TO SAY NO.
Saying yes to everyone and everything that comes your way is UNHEALTHY for you.
There has to be a fine balance between the things you can do, need to do, and can’t do!
You can’t be everything or do everything for everyone and that’s OKAY!
23. VALUE YOUR TIME.
Every minute you spend is a minute you won’t get back, so spend every minute wisely!
Invest in yourself by investing your time properly.
24. TREAT YOURSELF TO A SMALL GIFT.
Speaking of investing in yourself, invest some money into something small that genuinely makes you happy. Maybe you need new pens. Or a new journal (my personal favorite!) Or, you simply want to treat yourself to your favorite burger. Whatever it may be, in the words of Nike, just do it!
Here’s to normalizing spoiling yourself from time to time!
25. CREATE A GRATITUDE LIST.
One of the best ways to get yourself to appreciate life is by acknowledging how BLESSED you are.
And I know that we all have something to be grateful for!
I want to challenge you to create a list of 10 things you are grateful for right now! It can be anything from having a roof over your head, to working in a job you love, to being with the person you love. We may not all share the same blessings, but we all have something to be grateful for!
So create a gratitude list and refer to it every time you need a reminder!
26. WATCH YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE.
Do you have a favorite movie? Go watch it……NOW!
Your happiness is worth investing in. Even if it means taking a few hours to watch a movie.
A stressed and overwhelmed version of yourself won’t be able to produce or do much, right? Which is why, it’s important that you also invest time doing small things that contribute to your well-being.
27. LISTEN TO YOUR FAVORITE SONG.
This may not seem big, but anything that has the potential to cheer you up is worth trying!
Listening to your favorite song when you’re feeling unmotivated, sad, and uninspired is a simple way to lift your mood and get yourself to smile!
28. WATCH A MOTIVATIONAL TED TALK.
Need a confidence booster? Need some motivation?
Watch motivational TED Talks on YouTube!
29. CREATE A BUCKET LIST OF THINGS YOU WANT TO DO.
Come up with a list of things you want to accomplish and places you want to go to.
This is a great way to motivate yourself everyday in order to cross off the things on your bucket list.
30. START A FUN DIY PROJECT.
Spend your time creating something valuable by doing DIY projects. Regardless of your interests, there’s a plethora of DIY projects you can follow on YouTube and Pinterest. And there are so many DIY projects you can do either alone or with your family (this could be your kids)!
DIYs not only help you save money, but they help you explore your creativity in a deeper level!

31. LEARN THE LANGUAGE YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO LEARN.
How many languages do you speak?
If you speak more than one language, woo-hoo! Welcome to the bilingual club!
And if you don’t, it’s never to late to learn!
Download Duolingo on your phone, choose a language, and start learning FOR free. You won’t learn a new language in a year, but you’ll get some good practice that’ll help you expand your knowledge!
32. CREATE A LIST OF GOALS – PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL
Live your life with purpose.
One of my personal favorite ways to live a more intentional life is by setting goals.
I’ve realized that I am more likely to be productive when I set goals for myself. Therefore, I always take some time to set goals at the end of every month and week. This helps me stay focused, organized, and productive!
33. LEARN + MASTER SOMETHING NEW.
Take advantage of free resources online, aka Google and YouTube to broaden your knowledge!
Honestly, you’re only a google search away from learning something new.
34. PURCHASE A COURSE TO INCREASE YOUR KNOWLEDGE.
If you want to go deeper into a topic, then consider purchasing a course!
So, let’s say that you want to learn more about blogging, investing in a blogging course would be the way to go! Or, if you want to learn how to master Pinterest, invest in a course that will help you do just that. I typically like purchasing courses recommended by successful bloggers on social media or high rated courses on Udemy!
35. WAKE UP EARLIER
I don’t know about you, but the earlier I wake up, the more productive I am during the day!
Which explains why I am more productive and motivated during the week than on weekends, ha.
Ever since quarantine started, I have been waking up at 6am every single day (except Saturdays and Sundays) and this has helped me stay productive and motivated everyday.
36. USE YOUR FREE TIME WISELY.
You, and you alone, are in control of your time. Whether you choose to spend your time hustling or relaxing, it’s solely up to you. Like I said before, INVEST YOUR TIME WISELY. If you have a day off or a few hours to spare, use them to do something productive.
Perhaps you can start that course you didn’t have time for before, or read that book you’ve been wanting to read, or write that blog post you’ve been meaning to write. Use your free time to do these things!
37. LISTEN TO PODCASTS RELATED TO YOUR FIELD.
If you don’t have time to read, study, or take courses, then try listening to podcasts!
You can listen to podcasts while cleaning, doing laundry, working out (if you don’t like listening to music), or on your way to work. I love listening to motivational, blogging, and business-related podcasts.
But, you can listen to podcasts that relate to you and your career.
38. READ BOOKS.
Earlier today I read a tweet that went along the lines of “reading books is a great way to obtain knowledge from someone with 40+ years of experience in only a few hours!” And I couldn’t agree more!
This is why investing your time reading books and taking courses is not a waste of TIME. If anything, you are speeding up your process by learning strategies that would take you years to learn on your own.
39. FOLLOW ACCOUNTS THAT INSPIRE YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
Since social media plays a huge role in our lives, it’s important to create a positive environment on all social media platforms. You can’t control what someone else posts, but you can control what YOU see on your timeline! Therefore, you should follow accounts that inspire you and motivate you.
The three people that inspire me the most on Instagram are Pamela Reif (my #1 fitness inspiration), Kat Gatskin from The Content Planner, and Jochen Kronenberg (Personal Trainer) I’m always so inspired by their drive, passion, and dedication.
40. USE A PLANNER FOR DAILY PLANNING.
The best way to stay organized and on top of things is by planning ahead. As a blogger, I would not be able to keep up with all of my blogging and social media tasks if I didn’t plan in advance.
Without a planner, I would go completely insane. So, if you’ve been struggling to keep up with your daily tasks or monthly goals, I highly suggest investing in a planner and using it everyday.

If you’re into fitness, take your fitness up a notch and join in on fitness challenges!

44. GET RID OF NEGATIVITY.
You can’t achieve positive results by surrounding yourself with negativity.
Negativity attracts more negativity.
Therefore, declutter negativity from your life. If you have to unfollow negative people, do it. If you have to clean your mind from negative thoughts, do it. Don’t let any kind of negativity hold you back!
45. REPLACE BAD HABITS WITH GOOD ONES.
If your current daily habits are not contributing to either your happiness, health and well-being, pocket, or growth, get rid of them.
So, instead of repeating the same things that give you the same results, add new habits to your daily life.

47. KEEP YOUR WORKSPACE CLEAN.
Not only does an organized workspace help you save time by not having to look for things, but it also inspires you to be more productive.
A messy workspace makes it harder to focus and work in.
48. CREATE A VISION BOARD.
Vision boards are a great way to visualize your dreams and goals.
Pro tip: Create a vision board with your personal and work-related goals and keep it somewhere you can see everyday! This will serve as a great motivation booster!
49. PRACTICE SELF-CARE.
Practicing self-care is a great way to give back to yourself! All of the things mentioned above require some kind of effort by your part. So, one of the best ways to reward yourself and recharge after doing things like: working out, taking a course, or waking up earlier, is by practicing self-care.
So, don’t be afraid to indulge in self-care activities.
