Many people have the misconception that only those who love to write or are writers should journal. That is not true at all. Journaling is a healthy and rewarding habit/hobby that could be practiced by absolutely anyone. Of course that doesn’t mean that everyone has to own a journal or even enjoy journaling. My point is that we are all capable of journaling in some way or another. If you can write, you can journal. Which is why, I am inviting you to join me in a fun 30 day journaling challenge!

JOURNALING A PHRASE CHALLENGE

The challenge is very straightforward. All you have to do is write down one phrase a day for 30 days. You don’t need to have a journal or any journaling experience to do this. All you need to have is the will to WRITE. So, whether you like to journal or not, this challenge will hopefully give you a new perspective on journaling while helping you develop a consistent journaling habit!

GOAL OF THE CHALLENGE

To remain consistent by writing down something on your paper/journal every single day. Even if it’s just a word!

DAILY JOURNALING IDEAS

Here are some ideas on what you can write down everyday:

  • An inspiring quote
  • A question you have
  • An affirmation
  • A goal you have for the day
  • Something new you learned
  • A sentence to summarize your day
  • A random phrase

Now, as someone who journals on a daily basis I can tell you that there will days where you will be inspired to write something down and there will be days that you won’t even want to look at this sheet. However, for this challenge to be completed properly, you have to fight the urge to slack and just get something down on the paper. 

Trust me, you will feel so proud of yourself once the 30 days are over and you see every single box filled in. Not only that, but you will have for yourself a whole RECAP of the last 30 days or month. It’s truly the little things like this that help you become a more consistent person. Little things train you for big things. If you can’t be consistent in something so little, how will you be consistent in something big?

    Great idea. I currently keep a food journal, but I’ll start adding inspirational quotes. Thanks for sharing!

        I track my sugar, coffee, and water intake. I’ve learned that I snack too much, so keeping a food journal helps me be more mindful. As for tips, make sure to have nice pens!

    I’m sure all of us learn a new thing everyday. At least I do. Writing a journal on those would surely help us realise the good things we’ve learnt

    Your journaling challenge has a lot of great ideas. I love the idea of writing down goals because it enables you focus on your goal and complete it.

    Great idea! I used to go to a leadership camp that had us do this and it really helped me. Get my life organized 😊😊
