My Morning Routine in 2019!
I’m a firm believer that the way you start off your day sets the tone for the rest of your day. You can either make or break your day – in the AM. I have experienced first-hand, the frustration and dissapointment of an unproductive and gloomy day – just because I had an unproductive and careless morning. Because of this, I now take my mornings seriously. At least, during the week. I’m definitely a little more lenient with myself during the weekends. Just a tad. So, I’m going to give you guys a little sneak peek into my mornings, during the week.
I like to think that my morning routine is simple, but packed, straight-foward but effective. I have been loving it a lot (I recently changed it, if you want to check out my old morning routine, click here!) so, I’m excited to share it with you guys!

7:25 – WAKE UP
My first morning alarm goes off at 7:25 A.M. As soon as I wake up, I check my phone (horrible – I’m working on changing this habit!) I go through my emails and social media accounts for five minutes only though!
7:30 AM – OIL PULLING + SHOWER
Once I have caught up with my notifications, I get up & make my bed – to not be tempted to go back to sleep! (I change my bedsheets every Monday, so I’ll take a few extra minutes on Mondays.)
Typically by 7:30ish I grab my towel & outfit (I usually pick it out the night before)
Next, I do oil pulling! I grab my measuring spoon, add about a 1/2 TBSP of olive oil & I swirl the oil in my mouth for 10-15 minutes! While, I’m “oil pulling”, I shower and get dressed.
Once I finished oil pulling, I spit out the oil (tip – don’t ever swallow it!) & I brush my teeth.
7:50 A.M – GLAM TIME, KINDA
Once my teeth are nice and brushed, I put on a whitening strip. I’m currently using the Double Elastic Harmony Life Gel Strips (loving them so far!) I leave this strip on for exactly 30 minutes. In the meanwhile, I get ready! So, I do my skincare routine, curl my lashes, put some lipstick or lipgloss on and do my eye make-up!
I’ll only do a full face for special occasions. I do my hair during this time, too. When I wash it, I add hair product, blow dry it & straighten it. Otherwise, I’ll either wear it down, tie it in a pony tail or put it up in a messy bun. My go-to styles.
8:20 A.M FEED MY MIND
Once the 30 minutes are up, I remove my whitening strips and rinse my mouth! Then, I drink a glass of water with three Collagen+C supplements – which are good for skin, hair, nails & joints. Now that I’m looking somewhat presentable (or so I think), I go to my “morning” table and sit down with my planner, journal and fitness book (the current textbook I’m studying)
I journal, read a few pages of my textbook and plan out my day using my planner.
8:40 A.M MORNING WALK
At 8:40 I go on a twenty minute walk outside of my house. This is probably my favorite part of my morning routine! There is nothing better than getting fresh air, vitamin-D, and steps in all while listening to my favorite songs! (: (: (:
9:00 A.M BREAKFAST + BLOG
Finally, to end my morning routine – I have breakfast & work on my blog!
I am a creature of habit so I usually eat a loaf of bread with a glass of almond milk (in a shake or a hot cocoa chocolate) every morning, but this bowl of cereal, that I had for dinner, makes a better picture, haha!
I always eat brunch, so I go easy on my breakfast (not the biggest fan of breakfast….shocker)
