After staring at a computer screen for 10+ hours, nothing feels better than a killer at-home workout! If you’ve trained with Pamela Reif before, you know what I’m talking about! WHY PAMELA REIF IS MY #1 FITNESS INSPIRATION

THE START OF MY FITNESS JOURNEY

After dealing with a horrible injury in 2017, I began my fitness journey for the second time in June of 2018.

Since I was still very fragile from my injury, I decided to slowly get back into fitness. So, I started off with the Bella Body Challenge – a ten day program that consists of doing 4 exercises each day for a minute each. Although I was only exercising for roughly 5 minutes every day, this workout challenge really helped prepare my body for what was to come!

So, after repeating this program for a couple of weeks, I felt ready for a bigger challenge.

DISCOVERING PAMELA REIF

After completing the Bella Body Challenge, I decided to look up regular workout videos on YouTube. So, I decided to explore workout videos on YouTube! Now, I can’t remember exactly what I searched for, but the first workout video that caught my attention was Pamela Reif’s 20 Minute Full Body Workout

I had never seen Pamela Reif before, but the minute that I saw Pamela, I knew that she was THE fitness inspiration and “trainer” I needed in my life. So, without any hesitation, I went ahead and tried out her 20 minute full body workout video. Not only did this 20 minute workout kick my ass, but it motivated me to dive into the world of fitness harder than before (just safely this time around!)

Pamela’s passion for fitness instantly drew me in! So much so, that after trying a few of her workouts, I became obsessed with fitness myself. Growing up I hated sports, so becoming obsessed with fitness was something I did NOT see coming, but I totally owe Pamela for, haha!

INSPIRED BY PAMELA REIF

When I first subscribed to her YouTube channel back in 2018, she only had around 8 workout videos. But, those 8 videos were enough for me to work with as a beginner. I would just combine and spread her workout videos throughout the week and repeat until I would master them! And slowly but surely after working out with Pamela for a few months, I went from working out five minutes a day to one hour a day, five times a week.

Pamela’s YouTube workouts helped me get back into fitness and discover new exercises, variations of exercises, and modifications of exercises.

I also started reading fitness books, anatomy books, fitness articles, etc. Basically, a whole new world opened up to me thanks to Pamela! The idea of being like her, as passionate as she is at what she does, motivated me to look after my health, learn about fitness, exercise daily, and even create my own workouts. Because of the growth I have seen in me inspired by her, I can proudly say that she is my # 1 fitness inspiration.

PAMELA REIF’S WORKOUT STYLE

Even though Pamela is the first fitness instructor on YouTube that I’ve ever followed, I have also trained with other fitness instructors on YouTube to explore different styles. While there are many great fitness instructors like Chloe Ting, Cassey Ho, Ana Renderer, Koboko, and Rebecca Louise, Pamela’s workout style is my by far my fave. If you enjoy workouts that make you sweat, give you a good burn, and actually challenge you, Pamela you’ll love Pam too! I personally prefer challenging workouts opposed to slow and beginner-friendly workouts, so her workouts sit well with me!

The majority of Pamela’s workouts consist of strength training bodyweight exercises.

So, basically squats, planks, push-ups, reverse crunches, dips, and more. However, she is extremely creative with her workouts! Pamela creates workouts that are not only fun to follow, but are effective for your muscles and target them through different angles.

Believe me, even her 10 minute workouts will have you dripping in sweat. And don’t get me started with her dance workouts (they’re my fave!)

PAMELA’S INSTAGRAM & YOUTUBE CHANNEL

What I love about Pamela is that she provides workouts for all types of preferences. On Instagram, she shares some clips of her daily at-home or gym workouts. Her daily workouts usually involve weights or some kind of equipment (if she’s at the gym!) However, on her YouTube channel she shares full workouts that don’t require any equipment and could be done anywhere you want, even in your bedroom.

I’ll be the first to tell you that I can’t do half of the workouts shown here. My fitness inspiration is Leslie Sansone because I love her walk workouts.

And that is totally OKAY. I wasn’t able to either when I started working out, but they get easier over time. I admit they are pretty challenging, but that’s what makes these workouts so effective. I def recommend you checking her out. XO

TBH – even though I watch so much YT, I’ve never made an actual account but this may have actually pushed me over the edge to creating an account so that I can favorite these workout videos. I’m not a huge fan of cardio, so Pamela’s workouts seem perfect!!!! Thanks for sharing, girl! 🙂
