After trying out various spell your name workout challenges, I have created my own unique version of the spell your name workout challenge to help you train your entire body in a fun way!

SPELL YOUR NAME WORKOUT

The spell your name workout is simply a workout where you spell out your name (or any name you want) and complete the exercise assigned to each letter until you finish spelling out the entire name. You can spell out one name, two names, or as many names as you like!

RULE: You must complete every exercise next to each letter in the name for the amount stated.

  • This workout can be done anywhere – at home, the gym, the park, you name it!
  • You can create a short workout or a long workout depending on the amount of names you choose to “spell”
  • It’s very easy to follow – perfect for beginners.
  • No equipment is required.
  • You can try this workout challenge with a friend.
  • Anyone who can “workout” can do this challenge (you don’t have to be a fitness expert!)

MY VERSION OF THIS CHALLENGE

In my version of the spell your name workout, I have included a variety of bodyweight exercises to help you train your entire body. You will find simple, but effective arm, ab, glute, leg, and even cardio bodyweight exercises. So, there’s a little bit of everything in this workout challenge.

If you’re looking for arm exercises, I got you.

Or if you’re looking for booty exercises, I got you, too.

Whatever muscle you want to target, there’s an exercise for it!

SPELL YOUR NAME WORKOUT CHALLENGE

Below I will share a letter in the alphabet and the exercise you must complete everything this letter appears in your name. So, are you ready to turn fitness into a fun spelling and sweaty game? If you are, choose a name (or a few, who’s counting!), spell it out, and exercise away!

A: Arm circles – 1 minute forward + 1 minute backwards

B: Burpees – 30 seconds

C: Bicycle crunches – 30 seconds 

D: Donkey Kicks – 1 minute on each leg

E: Tricep dips – 1 minute

F: Flutter kicks – 30 seconds

G: Glute bridges – 1 minute

H: Heel touches – 1 minute 

I: Roll ins – 30 seconds 

J: Jabs – 1 minute 

K: Scissor kicks – 30 seconds 

L: Leg lifts – 30 seconds 

M: Mountain climbers – 30 seconds 

N: Reverse plank – 1 minute 

O: Sumo squats – 1 minute 

P: Plank – 30 seconds 

Q: Jumping jacks – 30 seconds 

R: Reverse crunch – 1 minute 

S: Squat jumps – 30 seconds 

T: T rotations – 30 seconds 

U: Up down plank – 30 seconds 

V: Fire hydrants – 1 minute on each leg 

W: Plank jacks – 30 seconds 

X: Russian twists – 1 minute

Y: Push ups – 30 seconds 

Z: Side plank – 30 seconds on each side

SPELL YOUR NAME WORKOUT EXAMPLE:

I’ll be spelling my own name to give you an example of what my workout should look like. So, if I were to create a workout based on my first and middle name: Gabby Abigail. This is what my workout would look like:

G A B B Y

  • G: Glute Bridges (1 Minute)
  • A: Arm Circles Forward (1 Minute) + Arm Circles Backwards (1 Minute) 
  • B: Burpees (30 seconds)
  • B: Burpees (30 seconds)
  • Y: Push-Ups (30 seconds

A B I G A I L

  • A: Arm Circles Forward (1 Minute) + Arm Circles Backwards (1 Minute)
  • B: Burpees (30 seconds)
  • I: Roll Ins (30 seconds)
  • G: Glute Bridges (1 Minute)
  • A: Arm Circles Forward (1 Minute) + Arm Circles Backwards (1 Minute)
  • I: Roll-Ins (30 seconds)
  • L: Leg Lifts (30 seconds) 

TOTAL WORKOUT TIME: 11:30 Minutes

Since I have a lot of A’s in my name and arm circles are the exercise designated to the letter A, I am mostly training my arms in this workout. However, since I have to do exercises like glute bridges, roll-ins, leg lifts, and burpees, I would also be training my abs and glutes!
