The Power of Almonds | why you should be eating almonds!
If you have been following me on Instagram, you may have noticed that every time I share dishes (my IG is filled with food pics – major foodie here) I always always always include almonds in my dishes. There’s a reason why I add almonds to most if not all of my dinner dishes….and I will be revealing that reason to you today. So, if you’re a health junkie and want to hear about my personal experience with almonds, the power of almonds and why you should be eating them daily, keep reading!

AVOIDING ALMONDS AT ALL COSTS
I have never been a fan of any kind of nuts, especially not almonds. Their texture and flavor never really went well with me. So, I avoided eating almonds for the most part of my childhood and teen years. A bad decision, clearly!
BEING PRONE TO HEADACHES
Growing up I was always prone to getting headaches. I would get headaches about two to three times a week. Believe it or not, I would get headaches for the littlest reasons.
Now, I wasn’t the only one at home that dealt with horrible headaches. By the looks of it, headaches seem to have run in the family. My sister and my dad would also get headaches quite frequently. The one thing we could never run out of at home was Advil (The 300ct bottle). We’d go through a bottle of Advil pretty quickly.

ROAD TO DISCOVERING THE POWER OF ALMONDS
The discovery began with my dad. Last year, my dad (for whatever reason) began to eat around twenty almonds every single morning. He implemented this habit without knowing the huge effect it would have on him. After only a few weeks, he started noticing some promising changes. He started feeling healthier and had more energy.
And shockingly enough….his headaches were starting to become a thing of the past. As days went by, I witnessed that he wasn’t getting many headaches anymore, as he typically would. On the other hand, I was still getting headaches. So, he would tell me “why don’t you try eating almonds like me to see if it works for you too?” At first I was a little hesitant, but when I realized that I had nothing to lose, I decided to try it out myself.
ADAPTING A NEW HEALTHY HABIT
Although my dad would eat twenty almonds a day, I chose to not start with a large amount. Like I mentioned before, I have never been a fan of eating almonds so I wanted to start with a realistic amount that way I could keep up with this habit.
EATING 10 ALMONDS A DAY
So, I started eating ten almonds a day since July of 2018. I would eat ten almonds in the morning on an empty stomach or in the evening accompanied with fruits. I tried to eat them at the same times for the most part during the weekdays. On weekends, it was harder to have a designated time, so I would just make sure to eat them sometime during the day, regardless of the time. I can’t remember exactly the day that I started feeling a difference, but what I do remember is that just weeks after consuming ten almonds a day, my headaches started going away, too.
BYE BYE HEADACHES + ADVILS
When the end of August 2018 came, I referred to my diary (I always record the amount of Advils I take monthly) and realized that I only took one Advil in August.
Can you believe it? Just ONE!!! To me, it was completely insane and unbelievable because I would typically consume around two Advils a week!

MY STORY CAN BE YOURS, TOO.
There is nothing better than natural home remedies. I am a huge fan of them. I’ve been through a lot of health problems in the past and I’ve overcome them all thanks to God and to natural home remedies. So, I have a lot of faith in them.
Now, I’m not saying that eating almonds is a definite headache cure or that it may work with everyone, because all of our bodies respond differently. I am simply sharing my personal experience with the hopes that it can help someone else as well.
I want you to also be able to experience the incredible benefits of adding this habit (10 almonds daily) to your daily routine. At the end of the day, what do you have to lose?
