Being in God’s presence is the single most beautiful, unique, and indescribable experience you and I could ever have. There is nothing like it and our soul knows it. Which is why, our soul always desires and longs to be in the presence of our creator. This particular song reflects just how desperately we need to be in the presence of God and how we are always in desperate need of a touch of heaven.

If there is a christian song for the soul you have to listen to, it’s this one!

Touch of Heaven: Lyrics

How I live for the moments
Where I’m still in Your presence
All the noise dies down
Lord speak to me now

You have all my attention
I will linger and listen
I can’t miss a thing

Lord I know my heart wants more of you
My heart wants something new
So I surrender all

All I want is to live within Your love
Be undone by who You are
My desire is to know You deeper
Lord I will open up again
Throw my fears into the wind
I am desperate for a touch of heaven

How great is the Lord? His majesty is surely reflected in the heavens, in the skies, in nature, and in his creation. This song is a praise to God for all that he is, for all that he does, and for all that he will do. The Lord is holy and although we are unworthy of him, we are blessed to be able to praise him.

Transfiguration: Lyrics

Holy is the Lord revealed before my eyes
And my burning heart can scarcely take it in
As I behold your beauty with unworthy eyes
The only song my soul can find to sing
Is Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah my King

Lead my longing heart
To the high ground, to the clear view
And in awe I’ll be there
Beholding You

Now I know
I have seen
Your glory that cannot be unseen
I am changed
And changing still
As I look upon you Lord and believe

Unfortunately, as human beings we are always exposed to pleasant and unpleasant moments. We go through highs and we go through lows. That is the inevitable reality of LIFE. However, the consolation we have is that God’s love and mercy will follows us in every moment of our lives, whether it’s a high or a low. This song reflects just that – God’s eternal love, mercy, and support at all times.

Highs and Lows: Lyrics

Tell me where could I run
From Your light, where could I hide
Hemmed within Your precious thoughts
There’s no hiding from Your love

Highs and lows
Lord, You’re with me either way it goes
Should I rise or should I fall?

Even so Lord, Your mercy is an even flow
Should I rise or should I fall?
You are faithful through it all
You’re too good to let me go

Highs and lows
You surround me either way it goes
Should I rise or should I fall?
Lord, You’re with me through it all, oh

Isn’t it beautiful to praise God when things are going well? You aced that test, got the job you wanted, are mentally and physically healthy, and are surrounded by loved ones. Life is great, isn’t it? And all the good in your life makes you want to praise and thank God for everything you have, right? Well, what if everything in your life was turned upside down?

Do you praise God or do you call it quits? This song encourages us to remember God in our trials and praise him, even when it hurts like hell.

Even when it hurts: Lyrics

Take this fainted heart
Take these tainted hands
Wash me in your love
Come like grace again

Take this mountain weight
Take these ocean tears
Hold me through the trial
Come like hope again

Even when the fight seems lost
I’ll praise you
Even when it hurts like hell
I’ll praise you
Even when it makes no sense to sing
Louder then I’ll sing your praise

Lord my heart burns only for you
You are all you are all I want
And my soul waits only for you
And I will sing till the miracle comes

When we are faced with adversity, our hearts tend to fear and our strength seems to faint. However, it is in those moments of trial and mystery that we are able to see God’s power. Our faith is only made stronger in his presence. This song reminds us that if God places us in the midst of waters in “oceans deep, where feet may fail,”  it is only to strengthen our faith in him, not to hurt us.

Oceans : Lyrics

You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand

And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Saviour

Once upon a time we were walking around hopelessly without direction. We were unwanted by everyone, unworthy of God, and sinners by nature – all until we found Jesus and collapsed on a street called Mercy. God’s mercy found us and gave our life a complete different route. This song brings us back to the day we found Jesus and it encourages us to keep our gratitude alive always.

Street Called Mercy: Lyrics

Tired of endless walking
Not knowing which way to go
I collapsed on a street called mercy
I was found in You

Throwing Your arms around me
You held me like I was Yours
Like You’d been there the whole time waiting
I was found in You

Wrapped up in scarlet kindness
You welcomed this sinner home
Now I breathe in the air of heaven
All I want is You

You are all I want
You are all I need
Every breath I take
Is a breath to say
I am Yours now forever

Psalms 84:10 says, “A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else!” A hard life with God is better than an easy life without him. If life is for living with God, how can we live it any other way? This song reflects the great joy of living a life through Jesus and for Jesus.

This is living: Lyrics

Waking up knowing there’s a reason
All my dreams come alive
Life is for living with You
I’ve made my decision You lead the way, God You’re right beside me

In Your love I’m complete
There’s nothing like living with You
This life You created, I choose

You take me higher than I’ve been before
It’s Your perfect love that sees me soar
God your freedom is an open door
You are everything I want and more

As children of God, we will have to face circumstances in life that will shape us, change us and sometimes even hurt us. We will have to give up on certain dreams to follow his perfect plan for us. But, through faith we believe that in the end it will all be worth it, because Jesus is worth it all. This song shows us that Jesus is our greatest reward – even when we may seem to “have lost it all”

Worth it all: Lyrics

All I am Lord here before You, reaching out for more

You’re the promise never failing

You are my reward, You are my reward

I let go of all I have just to have all of You

And no matter what the cost I will follow You

Jesus everything I’ve lost I have found in You

When I finally reach the end I’ll say you are worth it all

When I’m there in Your glorious presence
Every knee is bowed before You

Hear the sound of heaven singing, you are worth it all

All the saints cry holy holy, angels singing worthy worthy

Forever I will shout Your praises,

That pivotal moment in our life when we discover Jesus for the first time is the moment that truly changes us forever. In the sense that no matter what happens in our life, we can’t possibly see a life without Jesus in it. What is life without Jesus? This song speaks just that – a forever life with Jesus.

Here with you: Lyrics

When the sunlight breaks
And the day has just begun
In the still I wait for Your voice to lead me on

Here now with You
I have heaven in me
Everything’s changed
And I will never be without You
Always with You
Through Your Spirit in me
Everything’s changed
And I will never be without You

You see me in the fire
Reaching out with open hands
You find me on my knees
Fill me with Your peace again
Forever I am loved
And freedom reigns in me
Forever You are Lord, my everything

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)  There isn’t anyone or anything in this world that can give us peace the way God does. His peace is an eternal promise that will never fail. This song is a great reminder to believe in God’s promise of peace even when our anxiety lies to us.

Peace: Lyrics

There’s a peace far beyond all understanding
May it ever set my heart at ease
Dare anxiety come I’ll remember
That peace is a promise You keep
Peace is a promise You keep

You will stay true
Even in the chaos
Your Word remains truth
Even when my mind wreaks havoc
I will be still for I’ve known all along
My Jehovah Shalom

You are peace to a restless soul
Peace when my thoughts wage war
Peace to the anxious heart
That’s who You are
That’s who You are
