My name is Gabriela, but you can call me Gabby! I’m a twenty-something Ecuadorian artist and blogger living in Cleveland, Ohio.

Whether I’m painting or exploring a new place, I’m always collecting moments, feelings, and twinkles of light to then turn into art.

WHY I CREATE:

Art has always been my way of processing life — the joyful, the painful, the uncertain. Painting and writing help me make sense of emotions that words sometimes fail to capture. Through my creative journey, I’ve learned that even the darkest seasons can produce beauty, and that healing doesn’t always look like a straight line.

• I’m an artist and blogger who expresses emotions through colors, textures, and words. Art helps me feel, process, and heal.
• I was born on December 31st and raised in the vibrant streets of New York City, so no matter where life takes me (even here in Ohio), I’ll always be a NYC girl at heart.
• I enjoy listening to music that tells stories — from Coldplay and Lana Del Rey to Arctic Monkeys and nostalgic 80s songs.
• The beach is my happy place. There’s something about painting with the sound of waves nearby that brings my soul peace.
• I have the cutest little fur baby named Bambi. He’s chaotic, sweet, and dramatic, just like me. And yes, I adore him endlessly.
• Burgers and pizza are my ultimate comfort foods. What can I say? It’s the simple joys that make my heart the happiest.
• I’m a Christian, and my faith shapes the way I process pain & hope.
• I’m a deeply emotional person, and though that means I feel a lot, it’s also the heart behind everything I create.
• I’m passionate about exploring new places. traveling fills my soul with wonder, color, and stories I later pour into paintings or poems.
